book worming

just to let you know, i am fully part of the twilight craze. i am so part of it.
i have read the first 3 of the book saga - i'm SUCH a dedicated fan that i'm witholding the pleasure of the fourth book. Plus, now that I am an English Literature Student I have to catch up on the classics.
Currently I'm reading 'Tender is the Night' by F. Scott Fitzgerald. In year 12 lit we read 'The Great Gatsby' which is what put me on to reading more Fitzgerald. He provides such an insight into the Jazz Age - which, by the way, is perhaps the most fab age ever; the Stone Age doesn't come close in the glamour stakes. This author is all about the sleaze, too: materialism; lust; adultery. Fantastic, really.
I've found 'Tender is the Night' to be much more complex than 'The Great Gatsby' - in the plot line as well as the structure. I'm reading the more popular revised edition which has been reconstructed after Fitzgerald's passing.

Next year in literature the main focus is The Gothic - looking forward to this rather immensely - so I've also read 'Frankenstein - the modern prometheus' and made a start on Dracula. Has anyone else noticed the incessant use of the word "countenance" in gothic reads? The protagonists are always going on about this.
A added bonus to this choice of topic is that I've found Twilight to fit in quite perfectly! Vampires, werewolves, the sex appeal of Edward Cullen - all gothic with the modern high school twist.

must also use this opportunity to LOVE Rpatzz big time. Officially voted THE number one sexiest man by Glamour. I always avidly supported him through youtube - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dmUHhxL0dm0 - this is my favourite . JEALOUSY of
Tyra Banks right now insurmountable.

thats about it.

P!nk at the O2 arena

pink was bladdy brill. it was such a great a show, she puts so much into it!
it was all based around her album Funhouse, so it was quite trippy really. at the end there were these huuuuggee blow up clowny things. personally, i love pink just because ive grown up listening to her! i remember singing along to mizaunderstood ("this my first single maaan!") awwww as a wee little girl. and i remember my best friend going through her first emo experience with family portrait, even though her parents split up when she was 2.

i would so completely recommend it. i went with my boyfriend for our y'anniversary (he was mildly uncomfortable with the abundance of lesbians, but then again we also went with my best friend and her mum. and her mums girlfriend. so see, we were contributing).

p.s. despite paying close to a TRILLION pounds to get to london and the O2 arena i quite like the O2. we were in standing and i am a complete loser plus wimp so by the end of it i was dyyyiiingggggggg but. but. but. just to reinforce. a fabby trip. i went on the 4 of may i think, it was May day anyway, so hey let me know if you were there ;) (i say this DESPITE zero followers)

so bye, M.D xx

p.s. Lily Allen with Not Fair was just on 90210's soundtrack! what the hell. she has made it in america. this is boring for me, i like to download the americany indie of 902012021020's soundtrack, i am already climatised to lily allen's lark!

continuation

hello dears, (i know no one is following this yet, but they will be soon. ohh yes.)
so i forgot about you for a while, and whilst sweeping (i am the modern day cinders!) i remembered. i have many emotions at the moment and i thought this would be a brilliant reason to start blogging away again.
just call me the blogster. i have also made the conscious decision that i am going keep my identity a secret - what a fantastic injection of fun and joy for all!

heres a few more things i'd like you to know about me:
  1. i ride horses, well - horse. singular. this is lovely but i wish i didn't sometimes. it is unbelievably time consuming! every day after school. i use this opportunity to listen to some groovy tunes though such as the likes of ABBA.
  2. i am not single. in fact i have been going out with my boyfriend.. lets call him Mr A... for a year tomorrow! to celebrate we're going to see Pink at the O2; je suis well and truly , ahem, 'psyched' up for it big time.
  3. i am 17 in 28 days. roll on the 30th mama's.
  4. i am currently trouserless. i find jeans ever so restricting and there were no leggings to hand.
  5. i am mega keen to go to America. i've recently decided i'm going to go next summer for a month. maybe on my own, WHO KNOWS! i just want to travel.
  6. i have 2 exams in 2 weeks. boo. i am very stressed because of this little factoid.
  7. finally ( seven is bit of an odd number to stop at.. ) i am dedicating myself to this blog. i am therefore dedicated to YOU, you little numpties, you can read me when you want. i havent found any readers yet but i'm going to advertise...

thankyou and goodnight. i love you all (no one).

oh no

it seems i have started a blog of all things!
i'm not going to lie. this was under instruction of a motivational speaker, and i feel a bit stupid just listening to him like a little dog. but im not doing it for his reasons (apparently in the future people will google my name and something good should come up for career prospecty reasons).
i am actually doing it cos it seems like a brilliant place to just moan and moan and basically its like a bulletin on myspace. only (and this is the brilliant and fanatasticy part i reckon) its v unlikely that friendlings and the like will poke their noses in! because they dont care! hurrah for all. right oh. righto, let us begin.

I'm abby (my feelings towards my mothers choice in the naming department are neutral)
I'm at school... sixthform. i find this highly stressful. i take law, i take psychology, i take english literature and english language. they are all quite ok. i do not want to be a lawyer or a psychologist. looking at my options that appears to leave something englishly orientated. but unfortunately, if you havent noticed, i like to adlib word-wise quite a bit. i do not think this is appreciated as it so rightly should be. Shakespeare (or shaggers as my lit teacher calls him ... mildly disturbing) did it all the friggin' time for lordy lords sake! i hear he made up the word laughable. heres something else i know. F. Scott Fitzgerald coined the phrase 'the Jazz Age'. what a lovely thing to go and do!!!
i must just momentarily leave because i have to get the bloody horse in from the bloody field because nobody bloody else will bloody well do it. i have only just returned from a nottingham conference thing! where is the love?

bye . did i even say hi? bye and hi. TTFN . or perhaps TTYN because a lot of things distract me from doing stuff. like mcblogging away.
